OUR POLICIES
Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Two Week Notice for Partial Refund
Cancellations made 14 or more days before the first day of camp are eligible for a 50% refund of the registration fee ($100 of the $200 paid). - Less Than Two Weeks Notice
Cancellations made within 14 days of the camp start date are not eligible for a refund. - Session Changes
Requests to change camp weeks within 14 days of the session start may be accommodated if space allows and will incur a $25 change fee. - Dismissal
To ensure a safe and respectful environment for all campers, the Camp Director reserves the right to dismiss a camper whose behaviour repeatedly violates camp rules or creates safety concerns. Parents or guardians will be notified if this occurs.
Refunds are not issued in these cases.
Drop-Off, Pick-Up & Late Fees
- Camp Hours
Drop-off is from 7:45am-8:45am. Pick-up is from 4:00 p.m-5:00 p.m. All campers must be signed in and out by an authorized adult. Identification is required at pick-up. - Late Drop-Off Procedure
If you anticipate arriving after the drop-off window, please contact camp staff in advance. As activities may take place at different locations throughout the day, parents must call to coordinate where camp staff will be located for drop-off.
If you happen to run late unexpectedly, you can call the camp phone number and staff will provide the current camp location for drop-off. 204-898-0701 - Late Pick-Up Fee
If pick-up occurs after 5:00 p.m., a late fee of $15 for every 15- minute interval will be applied. - Authorized Pick-Up List
Only Individuals listed on your child's authorization form may pick up your camper. Changes to the authorization list must be submitted in writing.
Without written authorization, children will not be released.
Health, Safety & Behaviour
- Medical Information
Parents/guardians must disclose all medical conditions, allergies, and medications prior to camp. Camp staff are trained in first aid and CPR. We reserve the right to seek medical attention for any camper if necessary and will make every effort to contact parents; parents are financially responsible for medical costs. - Medication Administration
Medications (including EpiPens/inhalers) will be stored securely and administered according to written instructions. - Illness Policy
Children with a fever higher than 100.4°F (38°C), vomiting, diarrhea, or contagious conditions must stay home until symptom-free for 24 hours. - Behaviour Expectations
Campers are expected to treat others and property with respect and follow staff instructions. Prohibited behaviours include bullying, violence, and possession of tobacco, alcohol, non-prescription drugs, or weapons. Repeated violations may result in dismissal without refund. - Technology
Camp is a screen-free environment. Campers may only bring their phone to communicate with the parents. No tablets, or gaming devices. Cameras may be used only with staff permission. - Photo/Video Consent
Staff may take photos and videos of campers for camp promotion and memory-sharing. Parents may opt-out in the registration form.
What to Bring & Not Bring
- Food
Campers must bring a nut-free lunch and snacks. To help keep all campers safe, please avoid sending foods that contain peanuts, tree nuts, or other common allergens.
Drinking water is available on site; campers should bring a reusable water bottle.
Lunches requiring microwaves are not permitted. - Clothing & Gear
Pack weather-appropriate clothing, including a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, and sturdy shoes suitable for outdoor activities. Extra socks and a rain jacket are recommended. Swimming gear may be required on certain days. Label all items with your child's full name to reduce lost and found issues. - Do NOT Bring
We discourage campers from bringing jewellery, valuables, electronics, or other high-value personal items to camp. While campers may bring personal items if they choose, Hooked on the Red Kids Day Camp is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged belongings.
Weather & Program Adjustments
Hooked on the Red Kids Day Camp operates rain or shine. Activities may be modified to ensure safety during bad weather or extreme heat; refunds will not be issued for weather-related schedule changes. In the rare event that an entire day of camp must be cancelled due to extreme weather, families will receive a $40 refund for that day.
Liability Waiver & Release
By registering, parents/guardians acknowledge that participation in outdoor activities involves inherent risks. Parents agree to release Hooked on the Red Kids Day Camp, its staff and volunteers from liability for injuries, loss, or damage.
Privacy Policy
Personal information collected during registration (names, addresses, health information) is used solely for camp administration and emergency purposes. We do not sell or share personal data with third parties. Parents may request deletion of personal data after camp concludes, subject to legal recordkeeping requirements.
Agreement & Updates
Parents/guardians must acknowledge and accept these policies as part of the registration process. Hooked on the Red Kids Day Camp reserves the right to update these policies; any changes will be communicated via email and posted on our website.
